CH24 Wishbone Chair

The Wishbone Armchair CH24 is a small, lightweight and sculptural armchair that can be used as a dining chair or a lounge chair for relaxing. The CH24 chair is the most famous and best-selling chair by Danish designer Hans J. Wegner . Designed in 1949 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen  & Son , this chair is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

The backrest bar is steam-bent, providing freedom of movement and optimum comfort. When creating it, Wegner chose to fuse the backrest and armrest into a single piece. To stabilize the steam-bent upper part and provide comfortable back support, the designer developed the chair’s characteristic Y-shaped support.
